Good News for PNB Customers: Increased FD Interest Rates

If you are a Punjab National Bank (PNB) customer, there’s good news for you. PNB has once again increased its Fixed Deposit (FD) interest rates, which means you will now earn more interest on your FD investments.

New Interest Rates

PNB has increased FD interest rates for deposits of less than Rs 2 crore. The increase is by 80 basis points (BPS). Earlier, the bank had made a rate hike of up to 45 basis points on some tenures and reduced rates on others as of January 1.

  • 3.50% on FDs of 15 days to 29 days
  • 3.50% on FDs of 30 days to 45 days
  • 4.50% on FDs of 46 days to 60 days
  • 4.50% on FDs of 61 days to 90 days
  • 4.50% on FDs of 91 days to 179 days
  • 6.00% on FDs of 180 days to 270 days
  • 6.25% on FDs of 271 days to 299 days
  • 6.75% on FDs up to 300 days
  • 6.75% on FDs of 1 year
  • 7.25% on FDs of 400 days
  • 7.25% on FDs of 401 days to 2 years
  • 6.80% on FDs of 2 years to 3 years
  • 7.00% on FDs of 3 years to 5 years
  • 6.50% on FDs of 5 years to 10 years
Interest Rates for Senior Citizens

PNB is offering interest rates ranging from 4% to 7.75% on FDs with tenures between 7 days to 10 years for senior citizens. Additionally, super senior citizens are receiving rates between 4.3% to 8.05%. For more details, you can visit your nearest PNB branch.

PNB’s FD rates are subject to change from time to time. For the latest information, it’s advisable to contact the bank directly. Interest on FDs can be paid on a monthly, quarterly, half-yearly, or yearly basis. Additionally, a loan facility is available against FDs, and you can close your FD before maturity, although certain conditions may apply.
