SAMBHAJINAGAR: Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde stayed Sunday the appointment of Shrikant Pangarkar , one of the alleged conspirators in the 2017 murder of Gauri Lankesh in Karnataka, as the head of Shiv Sena 's poll campaign in Jalna after a backlash against what the opposition termed "zero respect for justice".
Pangarkar, whom Karnataka HC granted bail in Sept, rejoined Shiv Sena on Oct 18, who subsequently announced that the former would head the party's campaign in his native district. "According to CM Shinde's directive, any post which may have been given to Pangarkar in Jalna district unit stands stayed," the party said. tnn
