In a heart-melting moment displaying how thick the bonds are between Columbus Blue Jackets teammates and their families, little Noa Gaudreau , Johnny Garudreau's late daughter, paid a special visit to Zach Werenski 's home. The two-year-old, clad in a mini doctor dress, filled her father's close friend's home with light, love, and laughter- just when it was needed in the hour of grief. Moments like these remind us that hockey families are joined together, even on the darkest days.

A visit from Noa Gaudreau and her mother, Meredith- call it the day's bright spot for the Werenskis. Coupled with posts on social media by Zach Werenski's fiancée, Odette Peters, nostalgic pictures captured Noa administering a little “treatment” with her toy doctor kit. The little one even applied an Elsa-themed bandage to Werenski's poor thumb, for which Odette cheekily stated he received “10/10 service.”
As fun as it may have been, that little visit transcended the realm of play and held deep meaning for all involved as an act of healing and bonding. We understand that the families have been close for many years, and we can assume that Noa's visit lightened the mood in both homes as they continue to comfort one another after the tragic passing of Johnny Gaudreau and his brother Matthew in August of last year.
Just a few days earlier, another happy event brightened up the Gaudreau family. Meredith recently delivered her third child, Carter Michael Gaudreau, who was truly welcomed by another Blue Jackets family member, Erik Gudbranson. Gudbranson, alongside his wife, Sarah, and their kids, swooped in to meet baby Carter.
Pictures shared by Sarah Gudbranson on Instagram Stories showed Erik cradling the baby jacket, wearing a touching tribute pinned to his blazer: Johnny Gaudreau's No. 13. One scene featured the children crowding around Meredith as she held Carter while Noa, Bennett, and Zoey expressed all their innocent charm and delight.

With love and strength, the Gaudreau family still courageously pushes on through their pain, surrounded by an unyielding support system of friends and teammates. With these shared moments, be it a toddler doctor healing “Uncle Z” or teammates showing up for one another in the hospital, though, in the universe of hockey, these are just some fragments- an intangible bond stretching beyond family and the rink.
