Jaipur: Rajasthan Royals have signed South African left-handed batter Lhuan-dre Pretorius as a replacement for Nitish Rana, who has been ruled out of the remainder of the TATA Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 due to calf injury. The franchise thanks southpaw Nitish Rana for his contributions and wishes him a quick recovery.
Pretorius, a promising young top-order batter, has featured in 33 T20 matches, scoring 911 runs in 33 T20s, including the highest score of 97. He joins the Royals at his base price of INR 30 lakh.
Rajasthan Royals are already out of the play-offs race in this edition of the IPL with just three wins in twelve matches so far.
