Nagpur: The crime branch of Nagpur city police busted a gambling racket taking wagers on the Chennai Super Kings versus Delhi Capitals IPL cricket match in a raid at Gumgaon in Hingna tehsil on Saturday.
The three accused, including two residents of Nagpur rural areas, were found to be involved in betting activities. Two persons were arrested from the spot, identified as Prajwal Upase and Sagar Rajarkar, while the house owner and kingpin of the racket, Kunal Sorte, sneaked away from the place.
The cops seized electronic devices and cash, including an Air Pod and mobile phones. The accused were found to be operating from Kunal's residence near Hanuman Temple. The crime was registered, and the accused and seized items were handed over to Hingana police station for further action.
