MUMBAI: The Goregaon Police are looking for a 65-year-old man who is the prime suspect in the murder of his 63-year-old partner at their suburban home.
The body of Ragini Savardekar was found stuffed inside an iron bed at Motilal Nagar in Goregaon on May 7, police said. Her partner, Pratap Baskoti , is missing.
A neighbour called up Savadekar's relatives on May 7 and said that Baskoti had left the house on May 5 after handing over his house keys to them. Baskoti had told the neighbour that he and Savardekar were heading out to south Mumbai.
But the neighbour suspected something amiss and requested the relatives to come over and check on Savardekar.
Later that day, the residents decided to call the police. A police team broke open the door of Savardekar's house and found her body stuffed in the iron bed. Police have registered a case of murder.
The body has been sent for an autopsy to establish the exact cause of death.
