Berhampur: Three persons were arrested in connection with two murders in Ganjam district on Saturday.
Surendra Sethi, 48, of Chirikipada Sasan, was arrested from Odagaon in Nayagarh district for allegedly stabbing to death Sailabala Sethi, 55, the wife of Bilambara Sethi of the same village under Polasara police station limits on Sept 22. Surendra was arrested from Odagaon in Nayagarh district.
In another case, Damodar Panigrahy, 41, and Sanjaya Reddy, 47, of Kharida were arrested for illegally laying a live wire in their paddy field, which resulted in the electrocution of Srikant Sethi, 37, of the same village.
Srikant, who was working in a brick kiln, came into contact with the live wire while returning from the workplace, said Srinibash Sethi, IIC of Hinjili police station.
