Tulsi Gabbard, the former Democratic House Representative from American Samoa, who had left the party in 2022 to become an independent, has officially joined the Republican party. Gabbard, who was part of Donald Trump's 'transition team' along with another former Democrat, RFK Jr, appeared with Trump at a campaign rally in Greensboro Coliseum in North Carolina. With Gabbard by his side on the stage, Trump announced that the 43-year-old is 'officially a Republican' now.
