It's Friday, September 19 and, apart from it being my birthday, more importantly for you, it's the day the iPhone 17 goes on sale. Hooray for Apple upgraders!
The pre-order deals are over, so if you buy the iPhone 17, iPhone Air, iPhone 17 Pro or iPhone 17 Pro Max from today, it'll ship to you as soon as possible.
I've already rounded up the best deals on every new iPhone, but a new offer has gone live today that I think is worth considering.
The cheapest monthly price you can currently get the base iPhone 17 for in the UK is £26 per month from Sky Mobile. That gets you a 256GB iPhone 17 (£25 per month) and 1GB data (£1 per month for not a lot of data, but you can pay more for more data when you sign up) in a 36-month contract.
You'll pay £936 over three years in this contract, though Sky will let you switch to a new phone at no extra cost after 24 months. On its own, the iPhone 17 costs £799.
That's a solid enough deal, but a new offer launched today could also see you walk away with the brand new AirPods Pro 3 at the same time as the iPhone 17. When you purchase the iPhone 17 (or any of the new iPhone range) Sky Mobile is offering the AirPods Pro 3, which are also brand new and go on sale today, for just £7 per month.
That's a very affordable way to get hold of the latest iPhone and AirPods - sign up on a 36 month contract for both and you'll spend just £33 today.

The AirPods Pro 3 have upgraded sound quality and active noise cancellation according to Apple, plus can be used with the new iPhone to do clever things like live translation of foreign languages. They retail at £219, but £7 makes them much more attainable today.
Just bear in mind that over 36 months you'll pay Sky £252 overall, which is £33 more than the RRP. I guess that's the interest you pay, getting them on the cheap upfront in return.
My colleague Dave Snelling reviewed the AirPods Pro 3 this week, awarding them a rare five stars.
"Apple is promising over-ear headphone quality from a tiny earbud and I can honestly say that's not too far from the truth," he said.
"Music sounds rich, clear and packed with bass. Thanks to clever Spatial Audio technology, there's a real depth to what's being played and watching a movie has felt like I've been sat in a posh cinema with full surround sound being blasted at me."
If you don't want AirPods, Sky is also offering the new Apple Watch SE 3 for £7 per month when you buy a new iPhone, or the Apple Watch Series 11 for £12 per month.
