There's good news if you have Virgin's TV service in your living room. The telecoms firm has just announced that it is offering customers more things to watch, and the best part is, it won't cost a penny extra to tune in. The latest FAST (Free Ad-Supported TV) channel to be added to Virgin's set-top boxes will feature a swathe of shows covering food, home and garden. It will also feature plenty of famous faces such as celebrity chefs Gordon Ramsay, Paul Hollywood and Heston Blumenthal, plus home experts such as Kevin McCloud, George Clarke and Alan Titchmarsh.
The update is called Inside Outside and can be found on channel 231 via the telly planner. Virgin says that the new channel now joins the existing 32 FAST channels already available on its platform. These include British Screen Classics, U&Transport, Inside Crime and Haunt TV, which can all be viewed for free.
The new additions to Virgin Media's TV line-up can be found on the Electronic Programme Guide (EPG) and come as part of the company's expanding FAST channel offering, providing an alternative and complementary experience to traditional linear TV.
"Virgin Media O2 will continue to evolve its FAST channel offering, adding more fantastic channels that will provide customers with even greater choice, at no extra cost," the company confirmed.
News of this update comes as Sky has also recently added more content to one of its popular packages.
The telly firm has just confirmed that Disney Jr. is making a comeback, tomorrow, November 13.
That update means those with a Sky Kids package will be able to watch shows such as Mickey Mouse Clubhouse+, Marvel's Spidey and his Amazing Friends, Bluey and RoboGobo without having to pay anything extra.
It's a big boost that adds hours of extra content to devices, including Sky Glass and Sky Q.
"Sky is turning up the fun with arrival of Disney Jr. - a kids' TV channel packed with shows for children aged 2-6, available from the 13 November as part of the Sky Kids package," Sky explained.
"The channel joins Sky Kids, which gives families 24/7 access to top kids' TV shows full of on-screen heroes."
