Kemi Badenoch clashed with the BBC's Laura Kuenssberg over Tory plans to deport 150,000 illegal immigrants a year. The Conservative leader said it was an "irrelevant" question to ask where they would go during an interview as her party's conference in Manchester kicks off today.
She said: "Not here, not here. They don't belong here, they are committing crimes, they are hurting people."
Mrs Badenoch added: "I'm tired of us asking all of these irrelevant questions about where should they go. They will go back to where they should do or another country, but they should not be here.
"The most relevant question is should they be here? If they should not be here then they need to be removed."
