Tipping Point's Ben Shephard warns contestant over game-changing decision

Send Push

host Ben Shephard didn't hesitate to caution a contestant after he admitted that her family member would be 'furious' with her decision.

In the episode aired on Wednesday (October 23), Ben graced our screens once again, presenting the popular ITV game show alongside three hopeful contestants eager to bag a hefty sum of money.

The episode saw the trio strategically drop tokens into one of four chutes, aiming to dislodge stacks of them from a moving shelf, with each token collected adding to their potential winnings.

The contestant with the lowest total is sent packing, while the last one standing gets a shot at the £10,000 jackpot.

Among those vying for the top prize were Mike from Liverpool, Katie, a medical secretary from Barry, and Paul, a retired finance analyst from Coventry, reports .

Katie, however, became the centre of attention when Ben felt compelled to issue a warning. Having answered a question correctly, Ben inquired where she'd like to place her tokens.

Katie confessed: "My nan would have really crossed with me if I didn't go for drop zone four so I'm going to go for drop zone four for my nan."

Upon further questioning by Ben, "Are you going to stay with drop zone four? " Katie decided to change her strategy, saying: "You know what, I'm going to mix it up a bit and go for three."

To which Ben cautioned: "Your nan is going to be furious by the way."

Katie's risk seemed to pay off as she added £50 to her prize fund. Unfortunately, Katie was the first to bow out of the contest, leaving early in the game.

Mike managed to make it to the final with £4,359 in his cash pot, and even nabbed an air fryer in the mystery prize segment.

On being quizzed about what he'd do with the winnings, Mike disclosed: "If it's the jackpot then I would plan a trip to Japan with the family."

Ben didn't hesitate to probe whether Mike would risk his winnings for a shot at the £10k jackpot.

Mindful of the risks, Ben pointed out that going for the trade could mean walking away empty-handed. Opting for caution, Mike confessed: "I'm going to play it safe and stick with what I've already got."
