Strictly fans stunned as jaw-dropping spoiler for weekend elimination revealed

A spoiler has been released confirming who will depart the show this weekend - and fans can scarcely believe their eyes.

Express.co.uk has chosen not to reveal the name of the unlucky contestant who will be booted out of the competition come Sunday's televised show. However, we can share that the news has caused total shock.

One fan exclaimed on Twitter (X): "Blimey. Did not see one of those coming at all," while another chimed in: "Wow shocked at the person in the bottom two who survived." Others expressed their astonishment that the surviving couple of the dance-off had entered the bottom two at all.

Meanwhile, ex- made a shock fall from the top of the leaderboard after consistently achieving high scores since the beginning of the competition. It's a sign that, as week five draws to a close, almost anything can happen.

It's common knowledge among Strictly's many "super-fans" that the results show is recorded on Saturday night, after the main performances. Every week since the start of the 2024 competition, spoilers have been released early, leaving fans shocked or fuming.

Speculation had been rife that Go Compare voice Wynne Evans and dance partner Katya Jones might be about to get the boot after their "joke" last week was "misinterpreted" by fans.

Viewers could see Katya firmly removing his hand from her waistline after he placed it there during the judges' commentary about their latest performance.

Wynne tearfully took to his BBC Radio Wales show to apologise and clarify it had all been a misunderstanding after a public backlash broke out.

However, he added that he didn't know what he was apologising for as he felt he'd "done nothing" wrong.

Some suspected tension behind the scenes after Katya also refused to join in with the high five he tried to give her.

However, Wynne revealed he was "absolutely heartbroken" by by viewers

"Katya's explained that it was a joke. She wasn't offended in the least. She doesn't feel uncomfortable," he explained.

The Strictly results show, , airs tonight at 7:20pm on BBC One.
