Vladimir Putin's leading TV propagandist has issued a chilling response to suggestions that the US is becoming frustrated by his refusal to agree a ceasefire in Ukraine. American Secretary of State Marco Rubio said Donald Trump was "losing patience" with Putin after he appeared to ignore the US President's threat of "severe" tariffs unless a ceasefire in Ukraine is agreed. Trump gave Putin a 50-day deadline to agree a peace deal or face new sanctions over a fortnight ago - and recently revealed that he had cut the deadline to between 10 and 12 days, after talks between the two leaders failed "on too many occasions".
Putin stooge Vladimir Solovyov didn't take kindly to the idea that America is running out of patience with the Russian regime, however, warning on state TV that the Kremlin possesses a "kind of force that neither America nor Europe can even imagine". "When I look at the likes of Rubio, and listen to Trump's statements, when they say they are running out of patience and [that] force will have to be applied... We are the ones whose patience is running out," he said during an appearance on Sunday Evening with Vladimir Solovyov.
Solovyvov also suggested that the West were threatening to "start a fully-fledged war against Russia". He said: "Here is something they need to understand. We won't dilly-dally with them. There will be a strike in accordance with our doctrine and it will be a devastating blow.
"This is not playing in a sandbox. This is [a] war for our future and for our right to live on this earth."
The warning came after US general Christopher Donahue implied that NATO forces could flatten Russia's Kaliningrad enclave if Russian troops attacked a member state of the military alliance.
"Today, Russia not only has the strongest army but is one of the strongest countries in the world," Solovyov insisted on Sunday night. "We can fight back in the air, on land and at sea.
"We're yet to conduct full-scale military actions [in Ukraine], limiting ourselves in many ways, at least with respect to our weapons. We have much more powerful ones ... Our navy is part of our nuclear triad which keeps increasing its potential."
Russia has the most confirmed nuclear weapons in the world, with over 5,500 nuclear warheads - just ahead of the US, which has a stockpile of around 5,044.
It's not the first time Solovyvov - who has been referred to in the Western media as 'Putin's puppet' - has wheeled out the impending threat of Russian nuclear devastation.
In a particularly vitriolic attack earlier this year, he said the US could be hit with a "nuclear tsunami" that would "blow the country to hell".
