Prince William and Princess Kate are reportedly having a "real dilemma" over which secondary education school that Prince George should attend next year. The , 42, and , 43, are currently said to be on the hunt for a new school for their eldest son, who is now second in line to the throne.
, 11, is currently a student at Lambrook School. The school, which is located in Berkshire, operates for students aged between three and 13 - which . Although the Princess of Wales's old school, Marlborough College, , Eton College - which George is said to have visited before the Easter holidays - is thought to be "the preferred choice".
Both Kate and William, keen to get their son into the best school possible, are said to have visited a number of schools over the past few months - including Highgate School in London.
As reported in the 's diary editor Richard Eden's latest column, Kate was reported to be attracted to Highgate because it has a "world-class" drama department. Despite Kate's apparent eagerness over the school, the distance between their home in Windsor and the school in London means that it would seem "an unlikely choice".
Speaking of Eton College, which was attended by both Prince William and Prince Harry, a source told Mr Eden: "It's the talk of the school, and of the parents."
Whilst William is said to have enjoyed his time at Eton, Harry, 40, had a very different opinion of the school. He previously said that it was "heaven for brilliant boys, it could thus only be purgatory for one very unbrilliant boy".
Unlike Eton, Marlborough College - which Kate attended from 1996 - is co-educational.
The school was also attended by George's aunt and uncle - Kate's siblings - Pippa Matthews, 41, and James Middleton, 37.
George has four terms left at Lambrook School. Princess Charlotte, nine, and Prince Louis, who will celebrate his seventh birthday later this month, are also day pupils.
