Manchester United's young talent, Toby Collyer, is on the brink of a loan transfer to West Brom.
More than a dozen Championship clubs expressed interest in securing Collyer on loan this summer, but according to the Manchester Evening News, the midfielder is poised to join West Brom.
West Brom have successfully pitched for Collyer, overcoming fierce competition from other second-tier clubs.
Ryan Mason, who took over at The Hawthorns in June, aims to guide West Brom back to the Premier League. The club last participated in the top flight during the 2020/21 season.
Collyer sparked considerable interest from the Championship after making his mark in Old Trafford's first team last season. The 21-year-old made his Premier League debut against Liverpool in September and has since made 13 senior appearances.
The Manchester Evening News recently reported that Collyer would not be used as part of a potential deal for Brighton midfielder Carlos Baleba.
Last summer, insiders spoke about Erik ten Hag's admiration for Collyer, with one source revealing that he records 'freakish' running stats in training, surpassed only by Bruno Fernandes.

Ruben Amorim also commended Collyer. "He has very good legs, he's improving with the ball. He knows what he needs to do to play for this club and feels the club in the right way. He's really humble and when you work hard, you get the opportunity," Amorim said in January.
Collyer's contract with United extends until the summer of 2027, with an option for an additional year.
