A man has been charged in court with the of British businessman Campbell Scott in Kenya, months after the 58-year-old was found dead in a sack of pineapples, miles from where he had been staying in the country's capital.
One of the wanted in connection with Scott's murder met with a grisly end recently, reportedly attempting suicide by poison before managing to fatally stab himself in a hideout in Nairobi's Dandora estate.
The body of the 58-year-old from Dunfermline, was found in the Makongo Forest, approximately 60 miles from Nairobi, on February 23, several days after he was reported missing during a work conference.
Scott's body was allegedly discovered by local herders, his hands and feet bound, concealed within a sack of pineapples left in the undergrowth.

Prosecution lawyers informed the court that they had filed an affidavit opposing bail for the man denying the murder charge. The court instructed them to formally submit the affidavit within three days, reports the . The court also ordered a pre-bail report to be prepared within 21 days.
Scott had travelled to the African country for a business meeting in Nairobi but was reported missing on February 17. It is suspected that he was deceived and subsequently murdered.
Other suspects still at large include Alphonse Munyao Kilewa, alias Edu, and Bernard Mbunga Mbusu. Mutua is scheduled to appear in court on June 17 for a pre-trial and a hearing on the bail application.
Simon Farrar, husband of the late Campbell Scott, took to social media last month to announce a tribute event where friends can honour the memory of the esteemed business leader, remembered for his "heart of gold".
The announcement read: "The 'Moaning' of Life, a celebration for the life of Campbell Scott.
"In London, Saturday 31st May 2025. More information to follow!!"
Friends quickly shared their sentiments, with one commenting: "I miss you Campbell and all the devious laughs we used to have. There is no better medicine that laughter and you were my pharmacy."
In the US, an emotional memorial service was held last month as devastated colleagues from the credit-scoring company FICO in Nashville paid homage to the senior director. During the ceremony, co-workers were visibly moved, sharing anecdotes about a "kind man" with a "heart of gold".
Campbell was lauded for his "genuinely considerate" nature by friend and colleague Mike Manaton. Mike expressed: "Campbell is a man who is celebrated by people around the world in many languages on every continent.
"And as I think about my own friendship with him I remember how many of us around the world were privileged to know him and call him a friend."
