Where does Hazel Irvine live?
Irvine, 59, was born in St Andrews in Scotland, and later attended the University in the famous town to study History of Art. However, she and her family are now based in London.
Is Hazel Irvine married?
Irvine's private life has remained just that, despite her being a renowned public figure. In 2008, at 43, she revealed she'd married her long-term partner in a secret ceremony in Scotland.
A statement on her behalf read: "I can confirm that she married her long-term partner a few months ago. It was a small and very private affair, and she and her husband are very happy. She wants to keep all the details private."
The following year, Irvine gave birth to her now 12-year-old daughter.
Hazel Irvine's future plans
During the 2024 Paris Olympics, Irvine was while many labelled her "ageless." She first started working for the BBC in 1990, becoming the youngest presenter of Grandstand three years later, and is set to remain with the broadcaster for the foreseeable future.
Irvine made a major announcement during the 2025 Masters final in January. Live on air, for the Triple Crown snooker events - the Masters, the UK Championship, and the World Championship - until 2032.
Hazel Irvine's other interests
Irvine received an MBE in the 2024 New Year Honours for her services to sport and charity. However, her CV does not just include sports presenting. She also works as a media trainer and takes bookings for after-dinner speaking.
