F1 drivers will return to the track today after a four week break for what is set to be a crucial United Stated Grand Prix. Max Verstappen has arrived in Austin top of the drivers' standings, but the gap between him and Lando Norris is now down to 52 points with McLaren currently looking superior in pace.

And there will be extra points available at the Circuit of the Americas, with the venue hosting a Saturday sprint race. Friday's free practice session will be followed by qualifying for the 19-lap dash.

There has already been controversy this week, with Red Bull accused of making illegal adjustments to their car on race weekends by rival teams. Developments will only serve to ramp up tension as we head into the final races of the 2024 campaign.
