The British horticulturist and broadcaster, 69, is known for his love of dogs and regularly posts updates of his pet pooches on social media.
Monty's dogs often accompany him as he plants and prunes on BBC's , and viewers have now grown to love the golden retriever, who Monty and his wife welcomed into their family in October 2022.
Monty and Sarah, who have been married since 1983, are also proud owners of Peggy the dachshund and a Yorkshire Terrier named Patti.
On Monday (October 28), he took to Instagram to share an image of Ned nestling his head into Monty's neck. The presenter beamed as he posed with Ned outside in the garden, adding the caption: "Burying his face #ned."

Monty's fans took this as a sign of Ned showing his love for his owner as they flooded the comments with messages. One wrote: "Sweet boy loves Monty so much."
"Never afraid to show their deepest emotions," added a second as another penned: "Animals are just the best and the kindest souls."
A fourth claimed that Ned is clearly saying "love you dad", while another commented: "Is this a thing they do???! We just rescued one a week ago and he gets all swoony and then does this."
Monty previously opened up about his future, admitting that he "hasn't got endless time left" as he contemplates slowing down his career.

In an interview with The Guardian in 2023, he confessed: "I haven't got endless time left. If I'm still going strong in 20 years, that will be brilliant, but 20 years ago doesn't seem so long ago."
Monty disclosed plans to exit Gardeners' World "within the next five years" to devote his time and energy to creating more documentaries.
