Since ending his professional tennis career last summer, Andy Murray has spent most of his time on the golf course. He made it his aim to become a scratch golfer in retirement, and has even entered some local competitions and Pro-Ams over the past year - including a recent one in Wentworth with Gareth Bale.
Now, the three-time Major winner has admitted he has one regret from his tennis career, which, of course, links to golf. Murray is disappointed that he didn't make the most of playing on prestigious courses around the world while travelling on the tennis tour, and he knows his wife Kim "won't let him" go back.
For the second year running, the former world No. 1 took part in the Pro-Am at the BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth. Murray even managed an eagle on the 18th hole, thanks to some help from Bale's drive.
And the two-time Olympic gold medallist was happy to chat about his love for golf after teeing off.
"I love it. I love the practising. I like competing. I like spending time with friends and going to new places," Murray told talkSPORT.
"I travelled to lots of great cities when I was playing tennis, but never played any golf there, and I regret it a bit because now that I am into my golf.
"I went to Melbourne 18 or 20 times when I was playing tennis, and they've got three of the top 15 golf courses in the world, and I never went to any of them."
Murray has no plans to fly back Down Under to get on the golf course as his wife, Kim, wouldn't approve.
He explained: "It's a pretty long way to go back for a golf trip, I am not sure my wife would let me take a week or ten days to go over to Australia and play golf. But I am loving it, and I like the practice element."
While the 38-year-old is happy to continue playing golf competitions at his level, he has no plans to turn professional in another sport, adding: "There is no chance that I could ever play to the level that these guys on the tour do.
"I certainly have no aspirations of that, but I want to play in more events."
But don't be surprised if you see Murray on the golf course even more over the coming months. He's already played a round with the likes of Tim Henman and Carlos Alcaraz, and the Spanish superstar has challenged Murray to play again - this time one-on-one.
