President Murmu shared her heartfelt message on social media platform X, saying, "On the auspicious occasion of Diwali, I extend my greetings and best wishes to all Indians living in India and abroad." She highlighted Diwali as a festival that celebrates "the victory of light over darkness and good over evil" and expressed that this festival brings together people from various communities with great enthusiasm, spreading hope for a brighter future.
The President encouraged citizens to use this festive occasion as a moment of reflection, urging everyone to "enlighten our conscience and embrace values like love, compassion, and social harmony." She also stressed the importance of supporting those in need, celebrating India's rich cultural heritage, and working toward a healthy and prosperous society. President Murmu concluded her message by calling for a pollution-free Diwali that honors these values.
Home Minister Amit Shah also shared his wishes, posting on X, "Heartiest greetings to all countrymen on the festival of lights, Diwali. May this festival bring new energy, health, and prosperity to everyone." His message reflected hope for a Diwali filled with well-being and vitality.
