Jammu and Kashmir Police have arrested a man accused of aiding terrorists in the Pahalgam attack. Srinagar Police made the arrest. The accused was produced in court and remanded to judicial custody.
Pahalgam Terror attack: Nearly five months after the Pahalgam terror attack, Jammu and Kashmir Police has achieved a major success. Jammu and Kashmir Police has arrested a man for allegedly helping Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists in the Pahalgam terror attack in South Kashmir. The arrested terrorist associate has been identified as Mohammad Yusuf Katari of South Kashmir. Yusuf Katari, 26, is a teacher in Jammu and Kashmir. Katari is said to be associated with Lashkar-e-Taiba. Srinagar Police has arrested him. He has been sent to judicial custody after being produced in court.
The clue was obtained from Operation MahadevAccording to Jammu and Kashmir police sources, the police were led to Mohammad Kataria after examining equipment and weapons recovered from Lashkar terrorists killed in Operation Mahadev, in which security forces killed three Pakistani terrorists responsible for the Pahalgam attack.
This is said to be the first major arrest in the Pahalgam terror attack since Operation Mahadev. Further investigation is underway, including questioning Mohammad Kataria.
On April 22nd, terrorists killed 26 people in Pahalgam
It is noteworthy that on April 22nd, terrorists killed 26 people in the Baisaran Valley of Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. Of these 26, 25 were tourists who had come to visit Kashmir from various parts of India. This terrorist attack has heightened tensions between India and Pakistan.
In response to the Pahalgam attack, Indian armed forces destroyed nine terrorist hideouts in Pakistan on May 7th under Operation Sindoor. Over 100 terrorists were killed in this operation. However, the search for the perpetrators of the Pahalgam attack was completed through Operation Mahadev.
Pahalgam criminals eliminated in July, now associates arrestedIn Operation Mahadev, security forces killed three terrorists involved in the April 22nd Pahalgam terror attack in the last week of July. All three terrorists were residents of Pakistan.
The mastermind of the attack, Hashim Musa alias Suleman, was from Rawalkot, Pakistan. Abu Hamza alias Harris was from Sialkot, Pakistan, and Mohammad Yasir, also from Pakistan, was also from Pakistan. Now, one of his associates has been arrested.
