Her condition suddenly deteriorated on Monday, after which she was put on a ventilator. According to AIIMS, Sharda Sinha is "hemodynamically stable" but her condition is being constantly monitored.
According to a Hindustan Times report, he has been suffering from a disease called multiple myeloma since 2018. Multiple myeloma is a type of blood cancer that affects plasma cells. It is a special type of white blood cells in the blood, which helps in maintaining the immunity of the body. In this disease, plasma cells grow uncontrollably and take the form of tumors inside the bones. These cells destroy other healthy cells in the body and make the bones weak.
Symptoms of Multiple Myeloma
The initial symptoms of multiple myeloma are not clear, due to which this disease is often detected late. Some common symptoms include body pain, bone fractures, anemia, fatigue and decreased immunity. A person suffering from this disease complains of frequent infections, fever, weakness and bone pain. Apart from this, sometimes it also affects the kidneys and other organs.

Multiple myeloma is treated in several stages, which include chemotherapy, radiotherapy and stem cell transplant. The treatment of this disease is long and the patient needs to get regular checkups in the hospital. New technology and medicines have now improved its treatment a lot, due to which the life of the patient can be extended.
