EA FC 26 is set to be released in the next few weeks, but will the new game feature crossplay and Dual Entitlement?

EA Sports is starting to reveal all about EA FC 26, with the new game set for a worldwide release on Friday, September 26. Deep dives into EA FC 26 gameplay and EA FC 26 Ultimate Team have got players excited ahead of the release. Meanwhile, player ratings are expected to be revealed soon, with player rating leaksalready appearing on social media.

As well as all the new additions, some important features are set to stay in EA FC 26, including both EA FC 26 crossplay and Dual Entitlement. A bit later than most expected, but EA first introduced crossplay in FIFA 23, allowing players on Xbox, PlayStation, and PC to play each other in-game.

Not every feature of the game will have crossplay, though, while another feature that will remain in EA FC 26 is Dual Entitlement, allowing players to upgrade from the old-gen to the current-gen version of EA FC 26 without paying anything or losing any progress.

Crossplay and Dual Entitlement in EA FC 26

This is everything you need to know about crossplay and Dual Entitlement in EA FC 26:

EA FC 26 Crossplay

If you're on Xbox Series X|S, PS5, or PC, you'll be able to play games together, while there's a separate crossplay platform for players on PS4 and Xbox One. The only platform excluded from crossplay is Nintendo Switch, including Nintendo Switch 2.

Crossplay is automatically enabled when you load up EA FC 26 for the first time, but it's extremely easy to disable crossplay if you want to in the in-game settings. If you want crossplay with friends to work, you must both have crossplay enabled.

Here are the game modes that will feature crossplay in EA FC 26:

• Clubs (including Clubs Rush)
• Co-Op Seasons
• Ultimate Team Co-Op (Squad Battles, Rivals, Friendlies, Rush)
• Ultimate Team (Rivals, Champions, Online Draft, Online Friendlies, Play a Friend, Rush)
• Online Friendlies
• Online Seasons

There will be no shared transfer market in EA FC 26 Ultimate Team between PC and console once again.

EA FC 26 Dual Entitlement

Dual Entitlement will be included with EA FC 26, meaning you can upgrade from the old-gen version of EA FC 26 to the current-gen version of EA FC 26 at no extra cost. When you purchase EA FC 26, Dual Entitlement is included, meaning you get both versions of the game when you buy.

Xbox One players can upgrade to the Xbox Series X|S version, while PS4 players can upgrade to the PS5 version. It is not possible to upgrade from Xbox One to PS5 or from PS4 to Xbox Series X|S.

Any progress made will carry over from old-gen to current-gen when you upgrade, as long as it's on the same account.
