Saving money where you can has never been more important, as the cost of living continues to rise.
Christmas in particular can be notoriously expensive, but one woman has explained how she is on track to make £150 by using a cashback website. Cashback websites work just as the name suggests.
You get money back when you click through to a retailer via the cashback website, then make a purchase. You normally get a percentage of your spend back, or sometimes a set amount of cashback. Some recent great deals have included getting a hodie blanket for just 72p and a way to get Marks & Spencer's luxury cheese and wine hamper for £24.
Kate, a 37-year-old paraplanner from Bristol, is making her money go further this festive season by using TopCashback to buy Christmas gifts. She estimates she will make back around £150.

Kate has already booked a Christmas trip with two of her friends - which will be their Christmas present to each other - and this has already earned her around £80 cashback on the booking.
Kate said: "That'll pay for a meal for us all, which would be a real nice addition. So far, I've bought a couple of advent calendars and I've got about £10 cashback.
"One of those beauty calendars and I'll use some of the contents as gifts for family and friends. We've recently moved from a flat to a house, so I'm no doubt going to be buying some decorations.
"I think my gift giving this year is probably going to be fairly limited, given our house move. But even that Dublin trip, that's kind of like a bit of a Christmas present between me and my friends."
Between her and her partner, Kate estimates that she has made £500 from TopCashback in the last five years. She uses other cashback websites too when shopping online.
Kate uses TopCashback on everything from clothes to bigger spends, such as a boiler for her new home. She estimates the cashback on this will be around £140 and this will be her biggest recoup from the website.
On average, TopCashback says members can earn £345 every year - but it all depends on how much you shop and spend online.
The only downside is you do sometimes have to wait a bit of time for the cashback to be confirmed - so this isn't an instant way to make extra money.
You also need to make sure you click through to the retailer through the cashback website, otherwise your cashback may not track properly.
TopCashback earns commission when someone clicks through one of its links to a retailer. Other popular cashback websites include Quidco.
