Strictly Come Dancing pro Pasha Kovalev fought back tears over a heartbreaking detail ahead of a special tribute show.

Next month, on 3 November, several of Robin's friends and co-stars will be hosting an evening to celebrate his life. Hosted by Lisa Riley and Anton Du Beke, the event called Robin Windsor - The Final Act has been created by Pasha and Anya Garnis.

Robin tragically died earlier this year, he . Robin was a professional on the long-running dance show from 2010 until 2013 and his friends are paying homage to him in the special upcoming show.

Appearing on Thursday's Good Morning Britain, host , who had previously danced with Robin on the One show's Children In Need special back in 2011, said: "I would love Robin to be there at the show, I would love Robin to know what everyone was saying about him!"

This prompted Pasha to comment: "I was just saying, it feels like he's always around in a way, it's strange, but it feels like he's always there!"

He added: "I think it's still settling, the realisation he's not going to be there..." as he seemed close to tears before composing himself over the heartbreaking realisation.

This prompted Anya, who was also on the show, to add: "He was so bubbly, like Pasha said, his energy was infectious. So it's very hard to understand that he's not there."

It comes as Susanna fought back tears on earlier this year as she emotionally announced star back in February.

The presenter, who had previously danced with Robin on the One show, couldn't read out the breaking news announcement as she was in shock, asking co-star Ed Balls to take over instead.

After announcing Robin's death on the show, a devastated Susanna fought back tears as she paid tribute alongside co-star , who was also left very emotional over the heartbreaking news.

Susanna said: "Robin was larger than life and I fell in love with him and fell in love with dancing when I danced with him back then [Children In Need's 2011 special]. He was an absolutely remarkable dancer, incredibly strong, so creative and he was just so enthusiastic about dancing. I just adored him. He was the most incredible personality."
