'Kids should be banned from doing one thing on plane as it ruins my expensive flight'

When many of us travel abroad we often dream of a stress-free journey that comes without any hassle, even when it comes down to what we wear through airport security. People try out all sorts of travel hacks to try and make their journeys as easy and quick as possible, but sometimes people can get in the way of our peace.

One woman called Taylor, known as taytrox_travel on TikTok, admitted there are a few things she thinks should be "illegal" on flights. If you're someone who makes the so-called "mistakes" while on a plane, she said she thinks you're a pretty "big problem."

According to Taylor, certain behaviours should be followed when travelling to make the experience better for everyone else on the plane. From how people act to the sorts of parentingtechniques people use - she thinks there are travel rules that should be followed.

In a video shared online, Taylor said: "Things that should honestly be illegal on airplanes - and, yes, I'm judging. Let's start with people who play with their phone or iPads out loud on a flight.

"I'm sorry but, why do we all have to suffer because you forgot your headphones? Charge your airpods, bring the cord - I don't care if it's your kid's favourite episode of Cocomelon - turn it off or put it on mute.

"Other people paid hundreds of dollars to fly too - not just to hear your kid's iPad blasting in row 14. That's your problem - figure it out."

She continued: "Next, the flight attendants who are doing stand up comedy routines on the intercom at 6am. Babe, I love a good vibe too, but read the room. Not every flight needs a production.

"If I haven't had my coffee yet, and you're making dad jokes on the loud speaker - I'm not laughing, I'm cringing. And, finally, the worst offence of all - getting on a plane without showering.

"I said it - if you're going to be elbow to elbow with strangers in a tiny metal tube at 30 thousand feet, the bare minimum is to smell decent. Respect the shared air - it's not hard."

The video has been viewed dozens of times since it was shared, and some people offered their thoughts. It's fair to say Taylor didn't hold back when it came to sharing her opinions about plane etiquette.

One person replied, saying: "Right, as always." Another added: "Louder." A third also chimed in with: "Right."

When it comes to playing music and watching TV loudly in public and on transportation, it's generally considered rude. Even though it's not always a strict rule enforced by law, it's a common courtesy to use headphones to avoid disturbing others.

Most airlines request that passengers use headphones when listening to audio. If you're playing audio loudly without headphones, flight attendants can ask you to lower the volume or use headphones.

While people's thoughts on the subject may differ, there is etiquette guidance people should try and follow. After all, nobody wants to be accused of being rude or entitled.
