The latest Nintendo Direct showcase has come and gone, leaving fans with a mixed bag of emotions.

Despite the absence of anticipated Animal Crossing updates, there's still plenty to keep players engaged. Nintendo enthusiasts have been eagerly awaiting a new showcase since the launch of the Nintendo Switch 2, and the company has somewhat delivered. In a surprising move, Nintendo unveiled a partner showcase that didn't focus on any of the third-party titles that players were expecting.

Instead, they shared 25 minutes of previews for games set to arrive on the Nintendo Switch and Switch 2. While some gamers are disgruntled, others are thrilled. After all, they needed more than just guidance on their Donkey Kong Bananza The Divide direction or how to unlock a Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive Fortnite emote.

Many were hoping for news on an Elden Ring Tarnished Edition or Final Fantasy 7 Remake release date. However, we were treated to a fresh batch of games that took us by surprise, either because we thought the consoles couldn't handle them, or they were truly unexpected announcements.

Regardless, many fans are satisfied with a Nintendo Direct that introduced a vast number of games with great potential, which will keep them occupied until more first-party titles are revealed.

So, what exactly did you miss in the Nintendo Direct? Here's what you need to catch up on.
