One scene featured real tears from one actress as she was faced with saying goodbye to a co-star forever.
Amy Walsh has confessed in a scene where her character Tracy Robinson was meant to be angry, she was left crying for real. The scene was part of a major twist that only cast members knew about at the time, and one that would not be revealed to viewers until five months later.
Actress Amy was forced to keep quiet on the massive twist, finding out months before fans knew the truth. Not only that but in one particular scene, Amy said it "broke her" with her left "sobbing" real tears in another moment as the weight of the situation left her emotional.
The latter scene she is referring to is the moment Tracy's husband Nate Robinson says goodbye to his young daughter Frankie. Tracy had just told Nate he needed to leave, and that she and Frankie would not be moving to Shetland with him after wrong accusing him of cheating.
Nate sits down with Frankie and says a tear-jerking goodbye to his daughter, promising he will always be there for her. Of course what Tracy didn't know in this moment was that Nate was about to be murdered by John Sugden, and she and Frankie would never see him again.

Actress Amy did know this though, and it was this twist while filming Nate's goodbye that left her blubbering. While Tracy is meant to be firm and angry in the scene wanting Nate gone, she's soon left crying as she watches Nate emotionally say goodbye to their daughter.
But the tears were all Amy's it seems, as she confessed the scene where she hides the news from Frankie "broke her" during filming, knowing full well there would be no return for Nate and that Frankie would never see her dad ever again.
She explained: "The main person she is thinking of in all of this is Frankie. "She doesn't want to tell her and she puts it off for a day.
"There's a really sad scene where she says she just wants to give her one last night's sleep without that. That broke me filming that because it's heartbreaking that whole concept of her losing him as a dad and how amazing he was as a dad to her, and weirdly how amazing Jurell was with our Frankie actress Eden.
"It pulls on the heartstrings a bit for me I have to say." Amy went on: "The morning Tracy tells Frankie, she's explained to Cain that she hasn't told her yet just as she wanted one more decent night's sleep. I found that sentence startling because it's the truth isn't it.

"Their lives are gonna change from that moment on. It was tricky and then filming the scenes telling Frankie, it was before and after what happened. There's a moment Tracy is at the playground with Frankie and a moment just before she's about to break the news, and shatter her and it's been really emotional."
On the scene that left her crying real tears, Amy shared: "When Jurell was still here but I knew Nate was gonna die, watching him say goodbye to Frankie as alive Nate going to Shetland, it was hard to watch it be filmed. I stood in the scene trying to be angry Tracy, but sobbing as Amy at the sadness of him going away, with me knowing he was never gonna come back. It is really sad."
