With EastEnders fans speculating that Nicola Mitchell's mystery sister is a familiar face, one cast member has addressed the rumours.
Harry Mitchell actor Elijah Holloway confessed he hadn't seen the claims himself, as The Mirror asked him for his thoughts. In an exclusive chat, we quizzed the star on whether Nicola's mystery sister could in fact be a past character.
Fans believe they have worked out the identity of the sibling, with some convinced it's none other than Max Branning's ex Vanessa Gold. While nothing has suggested this is the case, the theory began circulating online months ago.
Some fans are still convinced it could be Vanessa, or even another past character. Elijah played this down though, suggesting it wasn't something necessarily on the cards.

He claimed that while there were scenes with the sister mentioned, nothing was planned for an arrival, let alone a past character being revealed as the sister. He said he'd love to see the soap explore the storyline and Nicola's family though, as he refused to rule out a possible twist there.
He confessed: "What's the theory? Sure... I haven't thought about it to be honest. But I remember a scene where her sister was mentioned.
"Apart from that we haven't really delved into it, but why not? We will have to see. I actually didn't realise people were sharing that theory but we will see!" Rather heartbreakingly, Elijah had no idea what the famous 'bubbly's in the fridge' moment was.
It might be a meme and certainly an iconic EastEnders moment, but the actor had never heard of it - until we gave him all the details of course. The classic scene saw Vanessa find out that Max had cheated on her with his ex-wife Tanya Branning.
Finding a post-it note on the fridge simply stating "bubbly's in the fridge", Vanessa repeated the line over and over before trashing the house, yanking down the curtains and destroying everything in sight. A true classic.
As for Harry, amid a worrying kidnapping plot, actor Elijah teased what was ahead. He shared: "It is gonna keep ramping up. The story we are telling and starting to get into is really important, and it's a story that needs to be told, as hateful as it might be.
"But it will continue to ramp it up. Harry is in a bad situation at the moment, and he got there by trying to protect his best mate because he loves his best mate, and he would do anything to protect him."
