Health Issues Harming Mothers and Newborns
There are quite a few mother and newborn health issues in India that need attention. Newborns face issues like premature birth, low weight, stunted growth or developmental issues, neonatal infections and are at the mercy of death. On the other hand, many women are dying due to pregnancy or childbirth. No or abysmal healthcare for pregnant mothers or new mothers pushes them towards health complications and even death. Huge blood loss, infections, blood pressure issues, and post-partum and pre-pregnancy health issues like anaemia are other health troubles. There is a need to include a health plan and help from Ayurveda to ensure both the mother and newborn stay healthy, especially in the long run.
