delivered a commanding performance at the Eden Gardens, defeating Kolkata Knight Riders by 39 runs in a one-sided IPL encounter on Monday night. With both bat and ball clicking in unison, the Titans showcased their depth and dominance in front of a packed Kolkata crowd.
Gujarat Titans put up a powerful total of 198/3 in 20 overs, led by an exceptional innings from skipper Shubman Gill, who scored 90 off 55 balls, peppered with 10 boundaries and 3 sixes. Sai Sudharsan provided excellent support at the other end, crafting a solid 52 off 36 deliveries, hitting 6 fours and a six. The duo’s partnership gave Gujarat a firm grip on the game, and a few quick cameos pushed the total close to the 200-mark. For KKR, Andre Russell was the pick of the bowlers, returning economical figures of 1/13 from his single over, but the rest of the attack struggled to contain the flow of runs.

In reply, Kolkata Knight Riders never found the momentum needed to chase down the challenging target, finishing at 159/8 in their 20 overs. Skipper Ajinkya Rahane fought hard with a composed 50 off 36 balls, hitting 5 boundaries and a six, while Angkrish Raghuvanshi chipped in with 27 off 13, including 3 boundaries and a six, but the Titans' bowlers kept the scoring in check throughout. Rashid Khan was the star with the ball, delivering a brilliant spell of 4 overs for just 25 runs and taking 2 key wickets, breaking KKR’s backbone in the middle overs and shutting the door on any hopes of a comeback.
