This year, as many as 4,33,643 students took the Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) Class 10 Board Exams. Exams in theory and practical were administered from February 11 to March 3 and March 4 to March 20, respectively.
To pass, a student must get at least 33% in each subject. Students will have the opportunity to take supplementary tests in June or July if they are unable to meet passing marks in one or two subjects. Students who are not satisfied with their marks can also seek re-evaluation of their answer scripts. The provisional scorecard will show subject-wise marks along with a clear pass/fail status.
In a bid to boost accessibility, particularly for rural and semi-urban region students, JAC launched an SMS-based result facility. Students can send an SMS in the format to 56263 and view their marks on their mobile sets—making the results accessible even where internet connectivity is poor.
