Jabalpur (Madhya Pradesh): A shop owner was booked for illegally storing sulphuric acid without proper mandatory documents which he sold to a woman who threw it on her friend in Gwarighat area a few days ago.
A case was registered against Satyendra Gupta owner of Anupras Enterprises under Section 6(1)(a) of the Poisons Act and Section 286 BNS
as he failed to furnish necessary licences related to sale and possession of poison-like acid in his shop.
The shop owner had sold acid to Ishita Sahu, who had been booked for throwing acid on her friend under sections 124(2) and 109(1) BNS. Gwarighat police station in-charge, Subhash Chand Baghel said during interrogating Ishita said she obtained the acid from Gupta's shop.

Disturbing details emerged regarding Ishita Sahu. Investigations revealed she had a deep-seated contempt for her father, Agni Sahu, a watchman. She used to hate him for having only Rs 6,000 monthly income.
Her father disclosed her long-standing angst towards him before the police and added that she even resorted to physical abuse against her mother.
This highlighted a severe breakdown in her social and mental outlook.
