Bollywood actor Salman Khan on Monday reportedly received another death threat, this time sent through WhatsApp to the official number of the Worli Transport Department.

The message threatened to kill the actor at his residence and also warned about blowing up his vehicle with a bomb.

Following the threat, a case has been registered at the Worli police station. The Mumbai Police have stated that they are currently investigating the matter.

This latest threat adds to a series of security concerns surrounding the 59-year-old actor, who has faced similar threats in the past.

In 2018, security concerns for actor Salman Khan intensified when incarcerated gangster Lawrence Bishnoi issued a death threat during a court appearance in Jodhpur related to the 1998 blackbuck poaching case.

Since that incident, Khan has faced numerous threats to his safety. In April 2024, two shooters linked to the Bishnoi gang fired gunshots outside his residence in Bandra before being apprehended by law enforcement.

In response to these threats, Khan's security was bolstered with the installation of bulletproof glass on his balcony and the addition of CCTV cameras monitoring the area outside his home.

Just two months later, Navi Mumbai Police uncovered a plot to assassinate the actor while he was visiting his farmhouse in Panvel, near Mumbai.

The situation prompted further security measures following the murder of politician Baba Siddiqui in October 2024, who was a close friend of Khan's. As a result, the actor's protection has been significantly increased to ensure his safety amidst ongoing threats.
