Mumbai: Amid farmers' stir in the state, the Maharashtra government has formed a 9-member panel under MITRA CEO Praveen Pardeshi to formulate a long-term strategy for freeing farmers from recurring debt trap. Chief minister   Devendra Fadnavis said based on the report, the state would announce a farm loan waiver before June 30 next year.   
   
Fadnavis spoke to the media after a meeting with farmer leaders, including Bachchu Kadu of the Prahar Janshakti Party, who have been blocking roads in Nagpur, demanding farm loan waiver as promised by the BJP-led alliance during polls.
