Ahead of the Indian Premier League 2025 auction  is rumoured to switch to another franchise. It is worth noting that the India captain was stripped of captaincy at Mumbai Indians ahead of IPL 2024 and Hardik Pandya was named as his replacement. As the speculations around his potential exit from the MI camp are doing rounds, fans have come up with different suggestions.

As India are playing against New Zealand in the first Test in Bengaluru, Rohit was prompted by a fan to answer the million-dollar question. The young fan in the video queried about Rohit’s IPL 2025 prospects and the 37-year-old replied “Speak with some respect” to the fan. The admirer did not stop there and suggested he join Royal Challengers Bengaluru.

Here’s the video of the incident:

Expected the pitch to be flatter than it was: Rohit

Speaking of Rohit, he scored just two runs in the first inning against New Zealand as India were bundled out for 46 runs, their lowest total at home. In return, New Zealand came all guns blazing and put up 402 runs in the first inning with a lead of 556 runs. Rohit, who initially won the toss and chose to bat, regretted the decision and admitted to having read the pitch incorrectly.

“We felt there wasn't grass on the pitch, we thought it would do whatever it would do in the first couple of sessions. And it will turn as the game goes on. Whenever we play in India, the first session is critical, and then spinners come into play. The reason to bring Kuldeep was he has taken wickets on flat pitches. So, we expected the pitch to be flatter than it was. Clearly, it was a misjudgment of the pitch, I didn't read the pitch well enough. And we are in this situation today,” said Rohit as quoted by HT.
