Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) India has closed FY25 on a record-breaking note, registering its highest-ever annual sales since it began operations in the country 17 years ago. The company clocked 6,183 retail units during the fiscal, a significant 40% year-on-year growth. On the wholesale front, JLR India reported a total of 6,266 units, up by 39% from the previous financial year.
This landmark performance has capped off what has been a consistent upward journey for JLR India, with its retail figures more than doubling over the past two years. The company also posted its strongest-ever quarterly sales in the January–March period. Q4 FY25 saw 1,793 units delivered to customers: an impressive 110% jump from the same quarter last year while wholesale dispatches surged by 118% to 1,710 units.

At the heart of this surge is the Defender, which continues to dominate its segment with a 90% growth rate in FY25. Complementing this success are the locally manufactured Range Rover and Range Rover Sport models, which also saw healthy gains of 72% and 42% respectively.
JLR India attributes this growth to sustained demand across its portfolio, along with its premium-focused “House of Brands” strategy that has helped the company carve a stronger niche among high-net-worth buyers.
Rajan Amba, Managing Director of JLR India, expressed pride in the company’s performance: “We are incredibly proud to announce our all-time best performance in FY25. JLR India has outpaced the luxury car industry with retail and wholesale growth of around 40% this year, building on an 81% growth the year before. This success reflects the strength of our brands, our obsession with customer satisfaction, and the exceptional design, capability, and luxury our vehicles offer.”
