Amazon and Flipkart have announced their festive season sale. In this, customers get a chance to shop at huge discounts. However, many times, fake, damaged, or used old phones are delivered to the customers in the sale. Earlier, many buyers have lodged complaints that they got a fake phone or a damaged device that looks like the original.
If you are also going to buy a new phone in this festive season, then know here how to identify the real phone. Every new mobile phone box and device has a sticker with the IMEI number. If it is not on the box or device of the new phone, understand that something is wrong. By visiting the Sanchar Saathi Portal, you can verify whether the IMEI number given on the phone is real or fake. For this, go to sancharsaathi.gov.in and select the 'Know Your Mobile (KYM)' option in the 'Citizen Centric Services' section.
After this, you have to enter the mobile number and the captcha and verify the OTP. As soon as you enter the IMEI number, the complete information of the phone will be revealed. Match it with the model, company, and storage of your phone. That is, if your smartphone is fake, then its reality will be revealed immediately.
