The Night Manager star drops behind the scenes update ahead of season 2

After it was confirmed that The Night Manager is coming back for a second season, series two star Camila Morrone has shared a behind the scenes update.

Tom Hiddleston is reprising his role as the charming Jonathan Pine and the show will be set eight years after the events of the first series.

The British spy thriller series debuted on One back in 2016, with six episodes airing on the channel.

Daisy Jones and the Six star Camila has joined the cast for the second instalment and has shared an update from behind the scenes of shooting from the show.

The actress took to to share a picture with her co-star Tom as they folded their arms with their backs leaning on each other, with eye patches on.

She captioned it: "Pine & Roxana have been MIA workin hard to bring you The Night Manager Season 2."

Also returning for the second season are Olivia Colman as Angela Burr, Alistair Petrie as Alexander 'Sandy' Langbourne, Douglas Hodge as Rex Mayhew, Michael Nardone as Frisky and Noah Jupe as Danny Roper.

Camila isn't the only newcomer added to the cast, as a bunch of talented actors have joined the gang.

The new cast includes Narcos: Mexico star Diego Calva, Game of Thrones' Indira Varma, The Serpent Queen's Paul Chahidi and Beau is Afraid actress Hayley Squires.

The show will be directed by Georgi Banks-Davies who is taking over from Susanne Bier, who directed the first series.

The Night Manager received huge critical acclaim when it aired and was nominated for a whopping 36 awards.

It won two Primetime Emmy Awards as well as three Golden Globe Awards for Tom, Olivia and season one star Hugh Laurie.

In 2023, an Indian adaptation of the show was released on Disney+ Hotstar, starring Anil Kapoor, Aditya Roy Kapur and Sobhita Dhulipala.

A second season for the adaptation is currently in the works with all of the cast returning for the second outing.

The Night Manager season two will air on BBC One and BBC iPlayer worldwide. A release date is yet to be revealed.
