Real Madrid star Rodrygo is one of many attackers being linked with a summer transfer to Arsenal. football.london understands that Mikel Arteta would like to sign a wide forward and striker after injuries greatly impacted their front three during the 2024/25 season.
The Brazil international was a regular under Carlo Ancelotti but since the arrival of Xabi Alonso, his place in the Real squad is seemingly under threat for a number of reasons. The Spaniard has taken charge of three Club World Cup games and Rodrygo has featured for just 88 minutes.
Numerous updates have since arrived on his future and though he could be free to depart, there has not been too much concrete interest from anywhere other than Emirates Stadium.

With all of that being said, football.london has rounded up all the important bits of information and also the latest reports regarding his future.
£77m talksArsenal links to Rodrygo are not just transfer rumours with journalist Ben Jacobs reporting earlier this month that their interest is genuine and that exploratory talks have been held.
He also stated that Real want in the region of £77million (€90m) to sell him. Andrea Berta has also held preliminary discussions with the player's agent.
Arteta stanceNico Williams has been Arteta's dream winger signing for the last few years but he is now seemingly off to Barcelona. As such, Rodrygo has seemingly become the No.1 priority in that position with the Arsenal boss a huge fan and convinced he would play a big role at Arsenal, as per The Athletic.
A spot in the starting XI on the left is another incentive that could help the Gunners complete a transfer and while they are prepared to wait for Rodrygo to assess his situation, they are mindful they cannot hold on indefinitely.
Exit 'request'Plenty of reports out of Spain have emerged on Rodrygo with the latest two suggesting his future will lie elsewhere.
Fichajeshave claimed that he has requested the club to seek exit solutions as he does not want to play a secondary role with that now likely following the arrival of Franco Mastantuono and recent impact of Arda Guler.
That being the case has been furthered by Marca, via Real Madrid confidencial, reporting that his starting spot, that was secure under Ancelotti, is now in doubt.
Alonso commentsWith so much speculation surrounding Rodrygo and his future, Alonso has been asked about it on several occasions.
"No [I haven't met with him]," Alonso said as his first word on Rodrygo during his unveiling press conference. “I’m going to have a conversation with all the players because they deserve it and we need it because we have to get to know each other. That he is a spectacular player is not for me to discover. We will need him.”
Following an assist for Rodrygo in Alonso's debut campaign in charge, he explained why reduced minutes had and would still be coming his way.
“I can tell you to a point [why he hasn't been playing]. I know what happened, that the end of the season was not easy for him. He took some time that was good for him, to reset his head. We talked from day one and I see him looking forward to enjoying himself with his quality.”
For their three Club World Cup group-stage games, Rodrygo started, came off the bench and was an unused substitute. For the latter, Alonso went on to reveal why he made that call.
"He [Rodrygo] looks good to me, enthusiastic," he said. "The other day was a technical decision. He remains important and we will need him in the Club World Cup. He is a special player and he will have a significant role."
