Juventus confirm Paul Pogba transfer fate after ex-Man Utd star's public plea

Paul Pogba will NOT get his wish of returning to , a chief at the Italian giants has confirmed.

The Frenchman is closing in on a return to the pitch after seeing his . The 31-year-old still has two years remaining on the contract that he signed upon his return to Juventus.

And he recently expressed his desire to play for the Serie A giants again. As quoted by Gazzetta dello Sport, the former midfielder said: “I am ready to return to normal in 2025. I only have one desire, to play football. The reality is that I am a Juve player and I am preparing to play for Juve.

“I don’t have to speak, the pitch will speak and then [coach] Thiago Motta will judge with his own eyes, based on what he sees. I’m ready to give up even money to play for Juve again. I want to come back.”

But Pogba has had his wishes completely ignored by Juventus club chiefs. Club director Cristiano Giuntoli has slammed the door shut on the 2018 World Cup winner representing the Serie A side again.

As quoted by , he said: “Our position is clear. Pogba has been a great player, he has been out for a long time and last year we were forced to invest in other players. So now the squad is complete as it is.”

Pogba returned to Juventus two years ago, signing on a free transfer after his United contract was allowed to expire. But he made just 10 appearances across what was an injury-hit debut campaign.

The midfielder also made just two outings last term ahead of being banned for doping charges. Opening up on the experience, Pogba added: “It was a very difficult year and what hurt the most was spending every day outside the stadium and (Juventus’s training centre) Continassa taking my children to school without being able to go inside to train or play for Juventus.

“Many past and current teammates have always supported me. [Juan] Cuadrado called me every other day and always made me laugh.”

While it looks unlikely he will be playing for Juventus again, Pogba already has an option for his next club. It has previously been reported that French side are interested in signing the midfielder. It has been suggested that the remainder of his contract with Juventus will be terminated, opening the door for a free transfer come January.
